Physical Appearance:
Marlene is very tall and thin. Growing up, this was something she hated about herself. People used to make fun of her – saying that she disappeared when she turned to the side, etc. Now, she’s more comfortable with her height and weight, but she still wishes she had a curvier figure.

Marlene has long black hair that is normally worn down because she hates bothering with it. She would like to think that she is graceful, but that would be a lie. In reality, she is constantly walking into walls, tables, and other people. Normally, this is due to the fact that she likes to read while she walks.

Biography:
Marlene comes from a large, eccentric family. Her father, Aidan, is a Pureblood wizard from a long line that can be traced back fifteen generations. Her mother, Colleen, is a Muggle with nearly two hundred close relatives. Neither family has any qualms about unexpectedly stopping by the McKinnon household. As a result, Marlene was used to being surrounded by people and noise at a very young age.

Marlene has three sisters (Maria, age 13, Lilith, age 11, and Angelica, age 10) and a brother (Jacob, age 17). Growing up, Marlene was very close to all of her siblings, especially Jacob. She went to a local private school with them until she turned eleven. Then, to her father’s delight, she was sent a Hogwarts letter. Marlene was very excited when she found out she was a witch. She knew all about the wizarding world, thanks to her brother and her father’s relatives, but she had never thought she would actually be a part of it.

Most of the McKinnons have been Gryffindors or Ravenclaws and Marlene was not an exception. The Sorting Hat had a bit of trouble deciding which house she belonged in, but it ultimately decided her intelligence was greater than her bravery. Marlene was thrilled with this decision. Her father had hoped she’d be a Gryffindor, like he was, but she’d secretly wanted to be a Ravenclaw, like her favorite aunt, Tabitha.

Marlene has an outgoing personality and is a Chaser for her house’s Quidditch team. Despite this, she still feels somewhat out of the loop. She’s friendly with nearly everyone in her house and is on good terms with most of the students in her year, but she usually socializes with Jacob and his friends. She occasionally wonders what she will do when her brother leaves school. When he’s gone, she has a feeling she’ll be a bit of a loner.

Likes: Reading, writing, daydreaming, art, cats, music, Quidditch, mornings.

Dislikes: Mean people, discrimination, dogs, feeling alone, her own clumsiness.

Extracurricular Activities:
Marlene's a Chaser for her house’s team. She is also a member of the Charms Club.

Romantic history:
There isn’t much to say here. She’s had a few harmless crushes, but no real boyfriends. When she was twelve, she went out with a Muggle friend back home. But, that relationship (if you can call it that) only lasted for four days and was more out of curiosity than anything else.

What was your character’s status before Dumbledore’s spell?
Along with the rest of her family, Marlene had been dead for many years. After her brother's death during her seventh year, Marlene decided to follow in his footsteps and become an Auror. Unfortunately, she was not accepted into the training program. She still joined the Order of the Phoenix after leaving school though and was an active member of the organization until her death.

Current Students: What does your character want to accomplish this year?
She wants to continue doing well in school and to help Ravenclaw win as many Quidditch games as possible.
